Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking an experienced Software Project Manager for software projects associated with training system development projects.  The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing software projects in traditional waterfall as well as in Agile development models and using a full spectrum of software development tools and technologies. 

 

The position will require the potential partner to work on-site in Waterford, CT and may require some travel in support of the project.

 

What you will be doing:

You’ll work in collaborative, distributed, cross-functional teams to deliver training products and services that address client needs encompassing operational training analysis and requirements, system emulation and behavior, instructor and trainee requirements, information assurance and simulation certification.  Software Project Manager responsibilities would include, but not limited to: 

  • Establishment and control of schedules and budgets
  • Resource planning and tracking
  • Managerial oversight of technical requirements to ensure successful completion
  • Production of contractual deliverables
  • Coordination of multi-office resources
  • Primary interface between Sonalysts and the customer
  • Managing experienced software development professionals
  • Managing and tracking subcontractors

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or systems engineering, or related technical discipline
  • 10+ years of professional experience managing Software Development  personnel/processes
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance*

Desired, but not required, qualifications:

  • Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance*
  • Project management in the DoD environment
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Familiar with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Processes
  • Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • Experience managing customer relations
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • Familiar with emerging trends of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and DevSecOps methodologies
