The successful candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be able to think creatively and solve problems as well as collaborate effectively with senior government and military staff with little supervision.

Required Qualifications:
- Former Cutterman Officer, Chief Warrant Officer (CWO), or Senior Enlisted (E6-E9) with a minimum of 10 years U.S. Coast Guard Active duty experience
- Complete a Deck Watch Officer tour of duty in a Coast Guard 270’ WMEC, 378’ WHEC, or NSC
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, eligible for or possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) SECRET security clearance*
Desired, but not required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution
- Demonstrated experience in any of the following areas:
- Previous Command Afloat
- Permanent Cutterman
- Experience in the Coast Guard Safety Enterprise or Human Factors
- Knowledge of Shipboard and Shore-based Training Systems
- Test and Evaluation experience
- Coast Guard-certified Instructor/Navy Master Training Specialist
*Maintaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves periodic comprehensive background checks.
